What is Reverse Osmosis Water Purification?

Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology goes beyond the capabilities of typical water filtration by using a semipermeable membrane to remove impurities from water down to a size of 0.0001 microns.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is the process of purifying water through a semi-permeable membrane to remove unwanted contaminants and molecules. Reverse Osmosis filtration is one of the most advanced and best water purification methods available.

Unlike standard carbon cartridge water filtration, during the reverse osmosis water purification process, water is pushed through an ultra-fine, technologically advanced 0.0001 micron membrane, removing up to 98-99% of contaminants from your drinking water (incl. total dissolved solids – TDS).

1. Transform Your Water

Reverse Osmosis is capable of removing up to 99%+ of the dissolved salts (ions), particles, colloids, organics, bacteria, viruses and pyrogens from the feed water. The reverse osmosis process effectively removes organic and inorganic compounds, including; cyanide, chloride, mercury, zinc, lead, herbicides, pesticides, nitrates, algae, phosphates and more.

2. Bottled Water Quality

Reverse osmosis is a technologically advanced water purification process, which has been in use since the 1970’s for the manufacturing of bottled water. Nestle Pure and Dasani Water by Coca Cola are examples of bottled water manufacturers who make use of public tap water and transform it into bottled water using the power of reverse osmosis.

With the advances of technology, reverse osmosis devices are now available to fit conveniently under your sink. Our multi award winning, 5 to 7 stage reverse osmosis systems provide you with bottled water standards at the turn of a tap.

3. Improved Taste

Reverse osmosis improves taste of your water, and removes odour causing, unwanted contaminants used to disinfect your tap water supply.

In fact, studies reveal that tap water can contain odour causing sulphate, manganese, iron, aluminium, nitrates, phosphorus, copper, zinc, lead, chlorine, fluoride, pesticides, polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons and hormones (yes, hormones).

With reverse osmosis you can enjoy a purified tea or coffee experience, in fact reverse osmosis water is the secret recipe of most major coffee retail giants. Descale your kettle and coffee machine by using reverse osmosis water.

4. End Plastic Waste

The concern for plastic waste and its impact to the environment is at an all time high. More and more governments are proposing measures to reduce plastic impact on the environment.

Single-use plastics, like water bottles account for half of all the plastic we use each year, a plastic bottle is capable of negatively impacting environment for hundreds of years.

Reverse Osmosis water purification technology provides a low-maintenance, chemical-free option to help access clean, great-tasting water each and every day. Switching to reverse osmosis water at your home or business is a great way to make your contribution against plastic waste.

’Forever chemicals’ found above threshold levels in many water bodies in Europe

Concerns about PFAS pollution have increased in many European countries but comprehensive monitoring data are often limited. Published today, the European Environment Agency’s (EEA) assessment shows that most monitored rivers, transitional and coastal waters and a large part of lakes in Europe are polluted with at least one of the many extremely persistent chemical compounds that are deemed harmful for people and nature.

Betere bescherming waterkwaliteit is noodzakelijk
